Legal
Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account, making a payment, or otherwise using the Design Credibility Index™ platform at designcredibilityindex.com and app.designcredibilityindex.com (the "Platform," "DCI," "we," "us," "our"), operated by Crazydes Private Limited, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
2. What the Platform does
DCI lets you purchase a submission credit, submit a design case study for expert review, receive a score and per-metric feedback, and, if you choose, publish a public profile displaying your score, your real name, and a link to your LinkedIn profile. The specific mechanics of each part of this flow are governed by the Platform's actual behavior as it exists at any given time; these Terms describe the legal relationship, not the UI.
3. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of legal majority/consent in your jurisdiction, if higher) to use the Platform. You sign in via Google (required) and may optionally connect a LinkedIn account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of the Google/LinkedIn account you use to sign in. We have no visibility into or control over those accounts' own security. You agree to provide accurate information and not to impersonate any other person.
4. Your real name and public display: explicit disclosure
This is a material term, not a footnote. If you make your DCI profile public, it displays your real first and last name (as provided by your Google account), your score, your per-metric breakdown, and a link to the LinkedIn profile you provide. You are not offered an anonymous or pseudonymous public-profile option. By publishing your profile, you consent to this real-name public display. You may set your profile to private at any time in Account Settings, which removes public visibility entirely.
5. Payments, credits, and refunds: read carefully
This section summarizes our payment and refund terms; the full, standalone Refund & Cancellation Policy is the authoritative version and is also linked from checkout.
- Submission credits are purchased individually and are valid for six months from purchase unless consumed or otherwise stated at the time of purchase. Pricing is set by us and may change; a price change never affects a credit you have already purchased.
- Payments are processed by Razorpay. We never receive or store your card, UPI, or other payment-instrument details directly. That data is handled entirely within Razorpay's systems, governed by Razorpay's own terms and privacy policy in addition to ours.
- All charges settle in Indian Rupees (INR), regardless of your card's currency or country of issuance. If you pay with a non-INR card, any currency conversion and the exchange rate applied are determined entirely by Razorpay's payment processing and/or your card issuer, not by us.
- No refunds for dissatisfaction with your score, or for your own submission error (for example, submitting the wrong link or incorrect materials). This is a deliberate policy: once a submission credit has been consumed by a completed, reviewed submission, the fee is earned regardless of the outcome.
- The only circumstance in which an amount is returned to you is a successful payment-fraud dispute processed through Razorpay's or your bank's formal chargeback process. We do not have unilateral authority to reverse a correctly authorized charge on request.
- If we ever return your credit for an issue we caused (for example, a system fault that failed to deliver a working submission process after payment), as opposed to your own dissatisfaction or error, the remedy today is a replacement credit rather than a monetary refund, handled manually on a case-by-case basis.
6. Submission content and conduct
You represent that any case study, link, or material you submit is your own original work (or that you have the right to submit it), does not infringe any third party's intellectual property, and does not contain unlawful, defamatory, or harmful content. We reserve the right to remove any submission or profile, and to suspend or terminate an account, that violates this section, at our reasonable discretion.
7. Review process and scoring
Submissions are reviewed by our review team against a scoring rubric that we may update from time to time. Scores and reviewer decisions are final once published; we do not offer a formal appeals process for score disputes as of this version of these Terms. During certain phases of the Platform's operation, a rejected submission may become eligible for resubmission on the same credit at our discretion.
8. Data use: the commitment restated as a contractual term
We do not use your personal data for marketing purposes, and we do not sell, rent, license, or share your personal data with third parties for their own independent use. This is stated in full detail in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. If any provision of that policy and these Terms appear to conflict on this specific point, the more privacy-protective reading controls.
9. Intellectual property
The Platform's design, branding, scoring methodology, and software are our property or licensed to us. You retain ownership of the case study content you submit; by submitting it, you grant us a license to display it (and your score/breakdown derived from it) on your public profile, if and only if you choose to make that profile public.
10. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. Deleting your account does not automatically revoke the Platform's Google OAuth access, which you must do separately in your Google account settings if desired. We may suspend or terminate your account for a violation of Section 6, non-payment, or fraudulent activity, with notice where reasonably practicable.
11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Platform is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that a particular score reflects any external hiring, portfolio, or career outcome. The score is our own assessment against our own rubric, not a certification recognized by any third party unless explicitly stated otherwise. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to your use of the Platform is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, the courts of Ernakulam, Kerala, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time; we will provide notice of material changes (e.g., in-app notification or email) before they take effect. Continued use of the Platform after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
